Leading Pension Actuary Recognized for His Contributions to Retirement Plan Education
TUCSON, AZ – October 22, 2015 – Kevin Donovan, CPA, EA, FSPA, FCA, founder and lead actuary at Pinnacle Plan Design was presented with the 2015 ASPPA Educator’s Award this week at the organization’s Annual Conference in Washington DC. With over 7,000 members nationwide, ASPPA (The American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries) is the premier organization for retirement plan professionals. Each year, the organization recognizes one thought leader who has demonstrated a commitment to the education of the retirement plan industry.
For the past 15 years, Donovan has been one of the primary cash balance plan educators for ASPPA. He is a frequent presenter at ASPPA conferences, training experienced enrolled actuaries and other pension professionals on technical cash balance issues and the effects of recent legislation. Donovan’s commitment to ASPPA and its goal of educating retirement plan professionals is clear, as demonstrated by his past service on the ASPPA Board of Directors as well as the Government Affairs Committee. Additionally, he is a founding member of the ASPPA College of Pension Actuaries (ACOPA).
