Pinnacle Plan Design names Amanda Iverson to succeed Kevin Donovan as Managing Partner

Tucson, AZ – November 29, 2022 – Pinnacle Plan Design LLC, a national provider of qualified retirement plan design, administration, and actuarial consulting services, announces that Amanda Iverson, CPA, MBA, PHR, SHRM-CP, APM will succeed Kevin Donovan, CPA, EA, FSEA, FCA as Managing Partner, effective January 1, 2023 as part of the firm’s formal succession plan. Iverson, Pinnacle’s long-time COO, is the second Managing Partner named in the 22-year history of the firm. Donovan, Pinnacle’s founder and a nationally-renowned pension actuary and industry thought leader, will retain a leadership role as Senior Advisor and member of the executive committee, where he will maintain his client service, actuarial consulting and industry speaking responsibilities.

Iverson’s leadership as a partner and the firm’s Chief Operating Officer has been a critical part of the company’s success. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), and Associated Professional Member (APM), her focus on the firm’s operations has been instrumental in the company’s growth, efficiency, service model, and highly-regarded firm culture. In addition to her accomplishments at and contributions to Pinnacle, Iverson is the Vice President of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA), the industry’s premier national organization for retirement plan professionals.

Young joined the leadership team just over a decade ago, is a past-president of the American Society of Enrolled Actuaries (ASEA), as well as a co-author of the Defined Benefit Answer Book along with Donovan. Of Young, Donovan said “She is every bit as well-versed as I am. Pinnacle’s defined benefit plan practice is in very good hands.”

Terry has been with Pinnacle for nearly two decades and has authored multiple industry publications. She serves on the board of an industry organization and her technical expertise makes her a sought-after guide to the Pinnacle team, clients, and partners. Donovan added “Stephanie has done a wonderful job applying the Pinnacle touch to our 401(k) practice over the years.”
